Silver metallic object hovering in the East observed travelling S down I95

It was approximately 11:27am and I travelling South down Interstate 195 when I noticed an object hovering over the treeline in the distance to the East. Conditions were cloudy with what appeared to be high altitude cirrus clouds. Initially I believed what I was observing to possibly be an airplane as TF Green airport is very close to this location. From what I was able to observe for approximately 3-4 mins I did not see any discernable wings or "tail" on the object. The object also did not appear to get smaller ( as if moving away) or bigger ( as if moving towards ) it appeared to stay the same size and remained stationary. Upon further observation, I observed a disk shape to the object and it appeared to be gun-metal gray in color. It appeared to be lighter in color on the top and darker on the bottom as if it were concave and shadowed on the bottom. I lost sight of the object as the road began to turn in the opposite direction. After this observation I began thinking that perhaps I had observed an air plane. Shortly after, I did observe an airplane at approximately the same distance ( 12 miles or so from the initial observation) and I was able to see wings and also that the air plane was moving away from me. The object that I initially observed appeared nothing like the airplane that I saw 10 mins later down the road. What I saw appeared to be a silver metallic disk shaped object hovering over the woods to the East of Interstate 95. The object appeared to not move at all.

Large oval shape object very bright in western sky on the horizon 15degree

I was outside my house about 7:30 pm enjoying the night sky when I looked to the west and saw a very large white light circular shape. The light was extremely close to the ground about 2000 ft. and 10 miles away to the west over the everglades. I watch for about 5 minutes and the object never moved. I first thought he was a helicopter with a search light however a helicopter happen to fly in front of the object and clearly was much smaller then what I was seeing. The helicopter was much closer to me so if the object was a helicopter then it would have appeared smaller do to the fact it was further west then the helicopter. I also saw a red light much higher to the north west that also never moved for the 5 minutes but had to be 20,00 ft. and 3x the distance from the object. I went into my house to get my wife and see came out and observed the sight with me. her first thought was it was a planet (Venus) but was in the wrong positon to be venus and clearly to low on the horizion. After watching for another 10minutes and the object never moving my neighbors came by walking and I pointed out the light to them. They were amazed as I was how large and it wasc and never moved position.I decided to get my binoculars to view the object, when I returned the object(light) had moved to the north and west and began to drop in altitude and move away. after 5 minutes I could no longer observe it.

In my back yard having my morning smoke the sun was not up but the sky had light. A Very Bright Light traveling north to south, no sound moving at a fast rate and disappeared. I tried to get a picture but my settings were off so the image came out dark. you can still see the light but the picture does nothing for the size and brightness I saw. I have never seen anything like it..

A big blinking oval shaped UFO and a smaller following right behind it.

The night very clear and cold with moon shine and no clouds. As I was closing curtains on the south side of the house, I stood and watched the sky for a while. Than from the left, which is east, an ovel shaped object came into view. It had one solid very bright white light and flashed a very bright white light. Right behind it, was a small sphere. It was a dull to lite red color. Following like a caboose on a train. I compared the first object to other planes in the area, and it was not a plane. I have never ever seen anything like that. And I knew it was not a plane. After 10 minutes,it disappeared behind trees, close to the horizon.

Formation of Red Lights

As an amateur astronomer of nearly 20 years experience, this is the second time I have seen something in the sky that is difficult to explain. I was on my apartment stoop smoking a cigarette when my neighbor, who was just coming home after parking his car in our complexs lot, called my attention to something around the corner of the building. I moved to share his line of sight and immediately saw an equilateral triangle composed of six red lights. The lights shone at approximately -2.5 magnitude and covered an area of roughly 9 square degrees in the sky. Three lights marked each of the triangles corners, and three others were arranged outside around them, forming a larger triangle, equal in proportion and orientation to the inner one. As I watched, the individual points were in motion with respect to each other, but the group appeared to hang motionless in the southwest sky. At this point, the approximate alt-az of the lights was 160(SSE) by 35 elevation.

I ran inside and retrieved my 6x30 image stabilized binoculars to get a better look. The formation had shifted to an irregular lambda shape of five or six lights when I came back outside. Through the binoculars, the lights appeared as tiny points against a backdrop of clouds illuminated by nearby Morristown. They were clearly below the cloud deck compared to airplanes elsewhere in the sky at the time, and appeared to be separate objects in no way connected by a larger structure. They moved steadily in ascending, lateral, and descending directions in a manner that seemed to display deliberate coordination, but there was no noticeable sound of aircraft.

I returned inside again and readied my digital camera after waking my fianc. By the time I started collecting video, the visible lights had been reduced to three or four and had moved to approximately 130(SE) by 20 elevation and the formation covered less than the area of the full moon. By this time, eight minutes had passed from when I originally observed the lights. My fianc and I watched them, with two of my neighbors, as they hung low in the southeast sky, flickering in a tiny triangle. They shifted into a straight line before the individual lights began to rapidly descend beyond tree line one by one. One or two could still be seen hovering near the horizon in the distance before they vanished, leaving only a solitary beacon remaining higher up until it abruptly faded.

If the lights had not ascended during this event, I would have been fairly certain they were some kind of aviation flares, but I cannot confirm, as I am not familiar with that sort of thing.

I have attached two AVI files enhanced to show lower light levels..

Dark round like objects looking outside my shower window

I was just getting out the shower around 135 PM getting ready for work. And I looked out my shower window and saw two round sphere like objects coming from the return North. They were moving not a fast speed but more like a steady pace speed heading towards the south. It looked like some kind Of top secret military drone or carft. It had more like a darkish brown color to it. I did not see any kind of exhaust trail behind it nor
Did I hear any sound at the time.

It was about 5,000 to 12,000 feet in altitude from my perception. Both objects were either flying side by side or behind one and another. There is MacDill AFB near by towards the south. Also not far from me There was video footage of a flying triangle. Also known as the TRB3 code name "Astra" this is $1,000,000,000 project highly classified and developed By the U.S. Air force.

So I would not be surprised. This is not the first time I've seen something like this

5 Red UFO's seen over Madison same as Event ID 14785 Morristown<NJ

Parents called and told me to go outside and look up. The Dog had alerted them to a formation of 5 Red Lights in the sky while he was out doing his business. The group of Red Lights were also in formation and when I saw them, but they dropped from 5 to 3 to 1 very quickly each shooting off in a separate direction. I have video of 2 of them together which I hope to upload and it is EXACTLY like what Event ID 14785 described. They were floating like nothing I've ever seen. It looked like the lights of each craft were vertical with one light on top and one light below almost like a vertical bar with lights just at the tips. Point of reference, I grew up 500 yards from a Heli-pad and live 2 miles from the Morristown, NJ airport. I see normal air traffic all day and night everyday. These were not planes or helicopters or like anything I've ever seen.

Watched one zig zag away with the solid red light occasionally going dark and then popping up elsewhere all lit up again. Lights did not flash in typical aircraft fashion and they really did just "Float" and not move in typical straight lines.

The event ended with one craft coming back over me and changing to all white lights. It shifted direction very quickly and jumped around a bit before going dark and heading West over Giralda Farms.

Called the Madison,NJ PD and they said they had some reports of "something" by the airport but had nothing else to say. Parents called the Morris Township Police who said they had received many calls. Township Police spoke to the Morristown Police who said they looked into it and said it was just someone playing a "prank with flares".
Maybe it was somehow man made but it was still an incredibly exciting thing to watch.
ps
Spoke to a friend shortly after and after telling my story he said his brother in law was at a party in late Nov in Bernardsville,NJ and saw the exact same thing.

craft hovering above trees about 60 feet in air with solid white lights on top and blue and red strobes on top

I will do my best to describe this. Language and punctuation are not my favorite. Where to begin? I was leaving a friends house in Schuline Il. I turned left heading north on chester road toward Sparta. The sparta country club is on your left right before town. As i was driving approaching the club. I glanced toward one of the holes. About sixty feet in the air and not even 150feet from the road. there was a craft plain as day hovering motionless and silent. It was a triangle 60 to eighty feet long per side.and fifteen feet tall. the craft itself was grey maybe charcoal hard to distinguish. Once i realized what i saw i slowed down to about 15 20 mph. Staring amazed how close it was . It had lights top and bottom. On the bottom there was white solid lights 3 of them. Slightly in from each corner. On top there was a red light a third of the way in on one side. opposite of that a third of the way in from the other side. there was a blue light. Both of them strobing toward the sky. Center of the strobes there was a white solid beam. The beam traveled very high in the sky but there was a end in sight. The beam tapered slightly larger going up. Almost like a tree upside down. At this point i slow to a crawl. As I am about strait across from it. The beam and the strobes on top shut off. At this point I got scared and drove home very fast. I watched it with my head turned backwards as i drove away. My house is only a few blocks away.Untill i was out of sight of it the thing did not move. There is not many things that scare me. And i will be honest I am concerned. But that is not it I have another case. TWO days later leaving the same friends house. around the same time. I still had the incident in the front of my mind. I decided to go the back way into town on country club road. A mile down from his house i was driving home. and there was no cars behind me. I continue on and about 2miles from his house out of nowhere. a light apears behind me.it was confusing because there was no vehicles behind me. It was a single bright light. I thought must be a four wheeler or dirt bike.As I keep going i start to get annoyed thinking somebody is messing with me. the light is paceing me following about a hundred feet back. There is a number of hills on the road. So I approach one of the hills and when I left the objects sight going down the hill I punched it sped up as fast as my truck would go. Thinking i would put some distance on the light. When I came up out of the hill to my suprise the light was the same exact distance behind me as before. Now the light has my full attention. So i floored my truck thinking i will out run this thing once and for all. The faster I went the closer it got. Now I am running from this thing and it is maybe thirty feet off of my bumper. Keeping a perfect pace. nowthis is a rural back road with hills and curves not very wide. and I am running 90 or so and this thing aint losing a inch, and i can flat drive. I am staring in my mirrors and driving crazy looking at this light now i see it is 4to6 feet diameterfocused light. And here is what is really weird. behind the light there was a red almost pin like light appeared. Kind of swirling back and forth up and down with almost a tracer effect. But completely in control. It would disapear behind the light and appear on the other side. Almost like a eye looking at you. Now this crazy ride lasted about 3 or 4 miles. At about the end of the road. There is a underpass or (vieduct?)This is kind of off the subject. But if you have ever watched In the Heat of the Night the movie and see the car chase under the underpass right before the fight in the turn style train house. that train house used to sit right on the same turn as the underpass.well at that excact underpass right before it. The light dissapeared as quick as it came. Not making a turn or slowing down. Just dissapeared. Now i dont what this crazy stuff is but it cant be for any good. These are actually not the only times i have seen what I think are ufo's. I have seen two ohter unexplainable sightings just no where near this level of stuff.

Driving home near interstate 287 northbound. pulled over to watch the lights. lights lasted about 15-20 minutes then shot off into distance. short video taken with camera. Both myself and the passenger experienced awe as we watch. Neither of us have seen anything remotely close to this before. The lights must have been visible for miles. Lights changed in pattern and shape throughout the 20 minutes or so.

During newcast after Redskins night game in background saw several lights crossing near monument

After watching the end of Redskin night game I was watching the weather forecast on same channel. In the background I saw several lights crossing the sky first 3-5 then 5-7 then ten or so all going in a straight line and going from right to left on the television screen. The were all losing altitude as if descending. From right to left starting at 2 oclock going to 8 oclock. I could not make out the shape of the objects. The Washington mounument was in the background. These could have been airplanes but there were just too many of them. It could also be some sort of reflection caused by cameras??? I have it saved on my DVR. If you go back to newscast at 10 or so minutes earlier it shows planes landing in background of camera?? you guys can look at video and decide. I emailed newsroom and got no response. Call my cell during day if you have any questions. At almost 12pm it was too many of them to be airplanes I think.

late at night we saw an oval shaped object move across the sky

While sitting out in the bed of my truck in my driveway, some friends and I saw an object that we could not identify fly over head. It was sometime ago, so I cannot remember the exact date. We were sitting looking at the stars and I thought I saw one move. I assumed it was just a my eyes playing a trick on me, but then one of my friends said he saw it as well, and the two others who were with me agreed that they too, were seeing it. As I focused more on it, I noticed that the object was somewhat oval shaped. It was almost directly aove us when we noticed it, seemingly higher up than typical jet liners fly. We watched as it moved in a mostly North to south direction. It moved slower than a shooting star but faster than a plane, and sooned passed out of sight. What seemed really odd about it was the manner in which it moved. It "vibrated" across the sky, reminding us of the way ants cross the ridges in a sidewalk, leading us to call it the Space Ant.

Two stars faded from Magnitude of Venus to invisible in ~4 seconds

I came back from my morning run in Fremont CA. at about 5:30 in the morning on the morning of Nov. 11th 2005. I was facing W-SW when I finished my run, and turned to my right to end up facing NW. I immediately noticed two stars in the constellation Cassiopeia that were very bright. The stars were separated by a distance equal to the width of my thumb at arms length. They were as bright as Venus, and equal to each other in magnitude. I knew the stars were out of place, and thought I was witnessing some strange double supernova. The sky was crystal clear without a hint of clouds.

I was thinking about looking them up and finding out what was going on when, as I was looking at them, they both faded simultaneously to the point of invisibility in about 4 seconds. I never took my eyes off of them through the whole event. I would say that I had been looking at them for about 30 seconds. They didn't belong there in the first place.

I could not make sense of what I was seeing, and still can't. The stars were stationary the whole time. At first I thought I might be looking at a couple of geosynchronous satellites that were rotating through a position of reflecting to non-reflecting, but the position was too far north of the Celestial Equator. I don't think we can place geosynchronous satellites in orbits that far off of the Celestial Equator can we?

I don't know what I saw, but I definitely saw it. I have asked several astronomy buffs, and some of my friends that work with satellites. No answer.

This seems to count as a UFO however high it was flying, and I just needed to let someone know other than my circle of friends.

Our family (me, my wife, son aged 14, daughter 19) were in the car driving westbound on a local secondary road at 5:30pm local time on Jan 4, 2009. The western sky was still bright although the sun had just gone over the horizon. I was sitting in the front passenger seat. Looking straight ahead, I saw a bright object come into view at the top of the Acura MDX's windshield, moving in a steady line (and at constant speed) straight down. At the rate it was moving, I knew we would have a good 7 to 8 seconds to observe it before it went below the treeline.

At first I thought it could be a plane's landing light (Westchester Airport is about 20 mi west of us). It took me about 2 secs to realize it could not be a plane (because of its trajectory). At that point I said out loud: "What the heck is that??" Everyone in the car looked straight ahead and saw the object immediately (I didn't have to point it out). We watched it travel in a smooth, straight, vertical line, at constant speed, downward, until it passed below the treeline. There was no ensuing flash, sound, percussion wave, fire, smoke, or anything else. It simply disappeared from view beyond the treeline.

I saw the object for about 8 seconds total. (It took this long to move from the top of the Acura windshield to the treeline.) My family saw it for about 5 to 6 seconds.

The object was round and bright yellow. It was approx. 10 times too big to be Venus or a planet. It was like seeing an indoor/outdoor floodlight shining directly at you from a distance of 100 to 200 feet. It gave off light but not so much as to make you squint or look away. The light was yellowish. The object had no discernible features: just round and solid yellow. It did not change size or brightness and did not trail smoke, sparks, or debris. It was moving too slow to be a meteor (unless it was very large and far away). The motion was straight down, at a constant speed. I have no good way to estimate the distance. It had to be more than a half mile away, because otherwise we would have seen it hit the ground ahead of us. It could have been several miles away. I doubt it was more than (say) 5 or 6 miles away, because then it would had to have been extremely large and would have been seen by many, many people in the greater Stamford-Norwalk area, possibly even as far away as White Plains, NY or the Bronx.

I've been a pilot for 42 years and consider myself an accurate, dispassionate observer of things airborne. What we saw was not a firework, nor (IMHO) an airplane or a piece of an airplane, nor a balloon, nor a meteor. It didn't seem bright enough to be any kind of flare (and trailed no smoke). But it did appear to emit its own light.

After it disappeared from view, we were stunned. We were saying things like "Oh my God, what was that?" "What do you think that was?" When we reached our destination about 3 minutes later, we were still talking about it. We've seen no local news reports on it. It was a cold Sunday at dusk with little traffic on the streets and we feel certain very few other people saw this, unless it was further away and much bigger than we think.

Glowing Orange object travelling straight west at approx 70 feet silently.

Came home from the inlaws on boxing day evening 26/12/08 parked in the drive. Went into the house with my children and partner. Then went back to the car to take goods from car boot (trunk). Clicked the central locking and said hello to a neighour who stood smoking a cigarette outside his door said "had a good christmas" to him and turned around to see the object in the night sky moving slowly over housing opposite was approxiamately 70 feet above the ground. I commented to my neighbour as i watched it travel westwards inland " I said whats that up there" neibour replied "damned if i know". Continued watching it for a moment as it travelled silently was eery to see. My partner had come back out at this stage to help unload and i said "quick look up at this. She saw it and said "Ohh thats really strange that is" we watched it along with my neighbour go off in to the distance momentarily before we decided wed better attend to the children indoors. Lincolnshire has many airforce bases so we're all familiar with seeing all the different jets go over. Ive attended airshows locally and i know aircraft well enough to know that this was definately not ordinary.

I would not have normally pursued to submit this but on the local news tonight was a story of a Wind Turbine (electricity generator wind mill) that was damaged and bent on a wind farm about 10 miles away. Locals reported seeing a bright object hit it and the believe it to have been a UFO that actually damaged the turbine. BBC Calendar News Lincolnshire the incident was sat 03/01/09.

Bright light with greenish glow

At 11:38 pm, Jan 3, 09, driving east in Pitman, NJ 08071, skies were clear but not able to see the stars for the town lights, but saw large object swiftly come straigt down from the sky.
large green/yellow light came straight down from the top of my windshield to the treetops in the distance (about 2/3 of my windshield). I screamed out loud to my friend "oh my god, what was that?", she didn't see it. It was not a falling star, this came straight down very fast, in a second, and there was no trail/tail.

Reddish Orange Orbs appeared and disappeared

I was with a group of about four friends. My friend Mark, his wife, myself and my wife. We were seated, inside a gazebo, looking out over the water right on the beach and it was night time. We were looking at the moon way out over the water because it was very bright that night and the sky was clear, except for a couple clouds to either side. It created quite a neat effect. We had looked up at the moon several times admiring its beauty. My other friends got to talking and when I looked up again I noticed a bright reddish-orange orb to the right of the moon. It was round, very bright, no distinctive markings or movement. Being the moon was about full from what I remember, this object seemed to be about one tenth of its size or less from my viewpoint. This object was way out over the water with no other lights, boats, city lights or anything nearby. Then, to my surprise, a second or two later the reddish-orange orb appeared way to the left of the moon. It did not travel there, it just disappeared from the one spot and reappeared in the new spot. At this point my friend Mark, whom I did not realize had seen this too, asked me, "Did you see that!" We then watched together the orb appear once more to the lower right of the moon. After that it did not return. The distance/speed would have been incredible for the time involved. We looked for another hour but it never came back. Our wives, talking a lot like they do, did not see this event and it happened so quickly. We did not notice any similar lights, boats, or anything else in the area again. There was an airplane that did pass by in the distance with its typical flashing lights shortly thereafter and moved just like you'd expect an airplane would. But not like the orb we saw. My friend later told me he had seen the orb at least one or two more times more right before I had. I had seen the orb three times, he at least four of five. I tried over the months to rationalize the event. The more I thought about it the more it bothered me. I have been to countless air shows and know what aircraft we have and what they can do, fire works shows, and know what powerful laser pointer lights can do too. This event was none of the above. I just can't explain it. There were no sounds and nothing can move at that speed. I finally felt compelled to tell someone just to get this off my chest. I know what I saw and I just cannot discount that. When this happened I was fascinated and very curious. I was not scared nor do I remember any other emotions. There must have been hundreds of people at that time that could have seen this as the beaches are located all along the coast with countless hotels that overlook the water. Ideas????
