I'm not going to file 8 more reports and in fact I'm seeing them so many times that it is becoming redundant, and expected, for me to see them now. I KNOW FOR A FACT that something is happening, going on and it is constant now! I reported sightings on the 27th of June and on the 17th, both in plain sight, one in the dark of early morning and night, and the 17th sighting at 7pm with the sun up and the sky bright blue. Both SPECTACULAR! Most of these sightings are of the FLASH of LIGHT that INCREASES in BRIGHTNESS before cloaking or disappearing or camouflaging itself or just plain disappearing. These are the ones that start out as a moving star that looks like a star until it begins moving. Then the light becomes EXTREMELY BRIGHT with almost a blue center from the light which is bright white before dimming completely out. Several of these were witnessed by someone else. Here are the dates all in July: 5th-witnessed, 20th-witnessed, 27th, 29th and 30th-witnessed. The one last night (30th) had two separate events happen... three really and I'll explain later. All of these sightings are happening between 11:15pm to 11:45pm nightly. These next sightings are the craft, celestial form, rectangular, oval or diamond shaped ones. These are becoming frequent too. July 26, at 8:12pm I saw a rectangular shaped object way up in the sky. I perceived it to be very high up perhaps 20,000 ft or more. A person was with me but did not look fast enough to see it. This object flew steadily then a bit faster and went behind a cloud as if to hide from me. Once it went behind the cloud it never came out the other side and must have gone back out into space. This was daylight still and a muggy day with clouds forming or formed. July 28th, approximately 8:15 although I am not sure of the time, I was out on the lake with friends and I had the feeling I would see something out there. At that time, I thought I saw what was a jet plane "going to the northwest" as some of my friends later said. But as I looked closely to it I could see that the jet form was a facade or really some kind of shadowing so that if a casual, asleep individual looked at it it would just appear as a plane. This craft was huge and not so high up as before so I could see it clearly. It was white in color but in the shape of a large rectangle. As I was about to tell the others they wanted to know what I was looking at but then this large craft started to move OUTWARDS, turning itself into a small star because of the distance so that only one other of the people on board saw it as it was moving away and dimming out. Then of course I already reported the 17th sighting which occurred 7pm. That particular craft was either diamond shape or perhaps oval . . . I just cannot tell because of its luminosity and movement, and the SHOCK and AWE state that I was in. There is no doubt I will see the flashing lights at 11:30pm again tonight and if I were to stay out at night around 6 to 9:30 pm I would see the bright and different shaped celestial or UFO'S! Last night's vision was the flashing light then, almost immediately after seeing it I looked up because I heard a small plane engine but what I saw was a large craft that was very lit up, with swirls or shadows making it look strange. It sounded like a plane but it sure did not appear as one. After the "plane" disappeared from site we saw some kind of dark shimmer or movement where the two celestials, crafts or whatever, would have come together. I don't know what to make of this but truly there is something going on and I cannot believe that NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS. Unless I see something even MORE SPECTACULAR than what I have already experienced I will not report anymore. I mean, what's the point? No one is going to do anything about it anyway. However I am taking this message out to all that will listen in the way I feel they want me to communicate it. I can draw detailed sketches if needed because even when I have camera in hand it happens so fast that I cannot capture an image or it doesn't let me at all. We both asked, "what the heck it that?" at the same time. A loud humming, similar to but not exactly like the sound made my an electric car or hover craft sounds you hear in the movies. Neither of us have ever heard anything like it before. It became louder as the object drew near, then we saw the following rush over our house at about 30-40 feet above the tree line. It was about 3 times the size of a news/traffic helicopter. Rounded in the back with 3 bands of yellow/golden light running horizontally. The light was more of a glow. It appeared to elongate towards the front of the object, with white lights at the front end. Again, a glow rather than a light bulb look. All we could see was the area illuminated by the glow, so the object could have been perfectly round or oval, with only the lighted parts visible. Not really sure, as we only saw it for 4 to 5 seconds. The area around the glow seemed to be a dull, gray metalic substance. My son-in-law says the way I drew the object looks like one of those little fish crackers. I keep asking myself if we both saw an optical illusion of some sort, but the sound it made was "out of this world" and we were facing opposite directions and saw about the same thing. Tahoe enjoying the view of the lake and we saw what I thought at first might be someone parasailing (approximate size of a pea at arm's length). The object hovered then, so I figured it was a helicopter. Then, several times, it descended to lake level and disappeared, appearing as if it were briefly and repeatedly submerging. Then it would reappear, fly slowly along, hover, descend, and vanish again. Eventually we got tired of waiting for something else to happen and left. If it really was submerging, it could not have been a helicopter, but, conceivably, we were just losing sight of it. If it did not submerge I cannot rule out the possibility that it was a helicopter, but its behavior did not fit search and rescue, sightseeing, or police surveillance. As for water sampling, that is done cheaply and safely with a boat. Helicopters are expensive. I noticed a slow moving, light orange light moving across the NW part of the sky. I knew it wasn't a satellite because it was light orange, and wasn't the right shape. I went inside and grabbed binoculars. It was still there when I came back out. I could clearly see the outline of the classic disc shape with the light orange lights the were glowing softly, and appeared to be from the top to the bottom of the ship. I watched it travel eastward. At one point, it "jumped", but otherwise, it did not blink or move sporadically. It just moved slowly across the sky. I watched for about 15 minutes until I lost it behind trees in the NE. At that time I drew a sketch of it. I was really excited because I was sure I was seeing something strange. I looked to my right which would be west/northwest, and saw a brilliant light behind Thumb Butte which is across the valley from me. As I watched, an object came out from behind Thumb Butte that was like nothing I have ever seen before. It was flying towards the south just above the Prescott forest. From my viewpoint, it looked like it was approximately 15 to 20 feet above the tree line approximately 3 miles away as the crow flies. At first, I thought that it was a comet flying parallel to the ground. However, as the object continued flying south, I realized that a comet would not be flying as slowly as the object was. Also, it didn't look like it was burning up as most asteroids and comets would do after entering out atmosphere. I would guess that the object was not going any faster than 100 miles/hour; maybe not even that fast. The shape of the object was similar to a triangle, except it was on it's side. The lines of the object were clearly defined. The center of the object was pure white with blue color at the edges. The back of the object in the middle had flames coming out almost like those from a rocket engine. The object continued flying in the same direction until out of sight. Only then, did I think about my binoculars which weren't readily available. As I stated above, I've never seen anything like this object, but I'm very sure it was not any kind of aircraft currently flying in the skies, now. I also realized that the object must've been flying over the forest further to the west than I at first thought because I did not see any commotion from the people that live near the edge of the forest in that area. The object must not have made much noise or the people near the forest would've heard it and called 911. One last comment, this object was not in a saucer shape and had no round edges. It stopped and remained motionless for a few seconds and then would continue on. We began to watch closely as it continued to do this a few more times. It then stopped for a longer period of time and then circled back towards us and appeared to be now moving to us. We became anxious and uneasy as it moved closer and got in the vehicle and drove away. This is a remote strech of highway along the edge of the boreal forest with many small communities along the way. I looked at it a few moments...recalling that Williams Gateway Airport is near the location...but proceeded to get a bearing on distance and size...and it just didn't seem to add up. An airplane...even of a large commercial type...would be much smaller in size than this...and I could follow its movement clearly..A bit stumped..I grabbed my cell phone keys and purse.. I went downstairs and got in my car and proceeded to drive North. When I reached Hunt Highway...approximately 2 to 3 hundred yards from my home..the object...which appeared to be white lights in somewhat of a straight line...with the center being out of 'line'...it was just over the tops of neighboring houses...moving at a pace that wouldn't of made sense if landing at Williams Gateway...again...the bright white lights...which seemed to be in a line..perhaps 'broken' in the middle...now appeared to be in a triangular shape...gaining more clarity as it headed in a southern direction. I had driven approximately a mile and a half or so to McDonalds on the south side of the intersection of Hunt Highway and Bella Vista...when I called a friend of mine 'Jeff'...who lives in Mesa near the Southern Avenue/U.S.60 intersection...and asked him if he could see any 'odd looking' object in the sky....the time is approximately 9:29 p.m. He told me he was headed outside to take a look...as I was giving him my description...I had pulled over into a parking spot in the McDonalds parking lot to continue my estimate of direction 'Jeff' should look towards..and estimate of location...he informed me he was now driving down Ellsworth Road towards Williams Gateway Airport...and said there was too many buildings...trees etc obstructing his view. Firmiliar with the area...I told him it certainly wouldn't be long and he would definately see it...and as we were talking...I decided to pull out of McDonald's and try to follow this object in the sky...which had now disappeared behind the buildings just North of my location. I proceeded West on Hunt Highway...when I noticed..not one...but two helicopters...one coming from the east towards the west...and one from the west coming in an easterly direction. I asked Jeff if he could see the helicopters now that seem to be headed towards this objects direction. He said he could not. At this time...I pulled off Hunt Highway onto the dirt...approximately 300 yards from the entrance to Walmart..and proceeded to watch this object in the sky....It appeared very large...and in a now definate triangular shape...with the tip facing at 11 'o clock.....staying stationary...and three white lights on each side of the sides of the triangle...but there appeared to be no bottom of the triangle....it illuminated...a sort of transparent light that shined just past the framing of the triangle...There were also red lights in between the first and second lights on each side of the object. As I was quickly telling Jeff of these events...the object lit up...illuminated...the object was clearly a triangle shape...dark in nature it seemed...and bright bright white lights. I do not recall seeing the red lights at this time. I needed to get off the phone with Jeff so I could take a picture of this object...and perhaps roll my video cam...but...wanted to go back up the road to a bit higher ground to get a better position for the photo. I made a 'U' turn back onto Hunt Hiway headed East...and this object was now at about 7pm from me...just past my left shoulder driving...I was telling Jeff my location and direction of travel...when I quickly pulled over into a tire store just West of the same McDonalds I was at prior.....and could not see past the buildings...so I drove south in the parking lot until I could get a view...now at about 4 or 5 o'clock from me...and it was traveling at a swift pace in a southern direction...again...'Jeff' was now asking me locations...and my estimate of where this object might be from the direction of travel he was coming from...and I even recall asking him if he could see the bright star in the southwesterly direction.... At this time...I had turned around and proceeded to the McDonald's drive thru (**laughing** ok...I've got hungry kids waiting!!) I then asked 'Jeff' if I could call him back in a minute. The time is approximately 9;45 p.m. As I was leaving the drive thru window...I called 'Jeff' back...approximate time is 9:47 p.m. As I approached Hunt Highway...driving east...I had to physically turn to look behind me to see if the object was still there. It was...but now it was even higher in the sky...much brighter...and appeared to be very large. Obviously I was a bit excited/panicked/shocked...and 'Jeff' yelled at me on the phone to 'shut up'...and to 'get off the phone...take pictures...zoom in if you can...and start taking pictures'...regardless of if I thought they were good enough...light enough...etc... I then got to Johnson Ranch Blvd...turned south..when I noticed that the vehicle in front of me, was also pulling off the road, (as I was...so I could take a damn photo!!)...at that time...'Jeff' was listening to me tell him about the driver in front of me pulling over to look at this object as well......when I heard him say 'are you there'...I responded 'yes'...then we lost our connection. The approximate time is 9:51 p.m. When I looked down at my phone...I tried to bring my cell phone camera up on the menu...when I glanced back up at the object - it was moving at a pace that alarmed me. The depth perception of this object was tricky...I could clearly see it moving...but too big to be that close?? It just didn't make sense...and at that moment it completely disappeared. I yelled 'no no'...continued to look for it in the sky...and it was no longer there. I pulled back onto the street and pulled up in my driveway...where I proceeded upstairs with food in hand and ran to my bathroom window to see if I could see the object in the same location I had seen it before...I now saw bright white lights gradually fading in...and out...sometimes one light...then two...then four...then back to three...or one. 'Jeff' had called back...approximately 9:53 p.m...when I told him I would get back to him...I was shooting photos.. I then proceeded to take photos-I climbed out my bedroom window facing North..onto the top of my backyard's patio roof...and began taking photos of the unstable lights. The lights flickered/faded in and out.. for approximately 20 to 30 minutes longer...before never appearing again. I continued watching until nearly 1:30 am July 31st....with no unusual activity. I then sat down at my desk and began drawing a sketch of what I saw...and its description as best I could. I then began searching the internet to see if anyone else had reported seeing this object and/or these lights... ....that is how I came to find this website. I had noticed a flash, very brief before it disappeared nearer the middle of the sky, eastern hemisphere if you are looking directly up. I didn't think anything of it until i saw another flash, then about three seconds later, in a different location, the same flash. This happened about six times, in a zig zag pattern before, now in the northern hemisphere of the sky, it stopped happening altogether. My instant reaction was shock because it was moving fast, like a meteor, but it was staying parallel to the horizon. We all stood up to watch it as it traveled for about 30 seconds then it slowed and sharply changed direction, moving up and away from us, southerly out over the Pacific ocean. We continued watching it for another minute or so until it shrank and just went dark. I assume it moved to far away for us to see it anymore. I have NEVER seen anything like this. It was not a plane, satellite, weather balloon or bottle rocket. It spooked me to the point that I felt driven to search online for an answer, which is how I came to find this site. Though it looked like fire in color, there was no flickering or embers to be seen, but more of a quick pulse. This was without question, some kind of controlled object because its course was deliberate in change of direction and movement. I am torn emotionally between fear and excitement. I immediately went outside where I saw a large, very, very, very bright sphere lighting up everything. It even outshone the nearly full moon. It at first looked like it was larger than the moon; it was hanging a little down and to the right of the moon when it was in the southern night sky. It looked like a huge, super bright, turquoise coloured light shining ball. It was so bright that it appeared larger than the moon, then I realized its intense luminosity made its diameter appear larger. The actual object was about the same size as a quarter or dollar piece held at arms length. It did not seem to be any farther up than 10,000 ft. Its brightness lit up areas that would otherwise be cloaked in shadow, but while this object hung in the sky above, there was light enough to read a newspaper article. IT was a very surreal experience. Then, after all of 2-3 seconds, it headed south moving at astonishing velocity. After remaining outside for a while to watch for more activity which did not occur, I went in to tell my wife. I'm sharing this now because of all the other similar sightings recently reported. I was sleeping when I hear a loud noise which I thought was thunder and I saw a flash of light as I woke up from the loud noise, I was happy and got up to open the window to hear the rain. I looked from the blinds ad to my surprise nothing, all was calm. my neighbors lights were out but I made the big mistake of looking up at the sky. I live on the third floor of an apartment complex and the roof is right above me. On the roof I saw this hugh craft some of it was just out that I cuold see right under it from my window. It did not seem to have its lights on and very quiet. I saw its oval shape with indentations or something like rims under and many circls and different shapes like balls under it. I moved away from the window in a way that I just wanted to hide under the covers. As I am going around my bed the strange being walks right in to my bedroom and stands at the door blocking my path and I almost bump into it. I face it with my back towards the bed and move backwards slowly as high as I can get to the top of my bed. It is looking at me and I at it. Around maybe 3 and half feet, strange metalic suit the coverd its whole body, 2 arms and two legs and some kind of mesh covering its face. I did see whar seemed to be large eyes but no mouth or nose and I could not tell if it was male or female. In its right hand it has an instrument with a long needle. It mde me feel like I was powerless to do anything. When it did not communicate with me I decided to talk to it. these were my exact words ,please dont hurt me. Residente na cidade de Afogados da Ingazeira � PE, Brasil, C-4 chegou em sua casa vindo do trabalho, a noite, por volta das 21 horas, junto com sua namorada, entrou no quarto e foi em dire��o do banheiro para tomar banho, quando escutou um barulho de porta, perguntou para sua namorada se tinha sido ela quem bateu a porta, ela disse que n�o. Ele ent�o foi tomar banho, saindo do banho ele entrou no quarto e viu uma esfera flutuando, do tamanho de uma bola de t�nis, com uma esp�cie de n�cleo dentro dela, a esfera saiu voando rapidamente de dentro do quarto, C-4 ent�o perguntou para sua namorada quem tinha batido a porta e ela disse que achava que era sua m�e que havia chegado, ele ent�o se dirigiu at� o corredor da casa e sentiu uma presen�a, a casa estava escura, ele pegou o celular Sony Ericsson W580i e tirou uma foto do corredor escuro ( em anexo). Posteriormente visualizando a foto no software Photoshop ele clareou a foto e visualizou algo estranho na foto, deu zoom e avistou a imagem de um ser, parecido com um et do tipo Gray. As we make our own hours, it is not uncommon for us to work late. We decided to take a break and a walk at 11PM. We walked out of our apartment and decided to walk East toward Cedar Park, a neighborhood of nice middle class homes. We arrived at Lake City Way, which is usually very busy with traffic as it is the main roadway leading to northern communities. It was a clear, still night and the stars were were visible. No cloud in the night sky. As we crossed the 4 lane roadway, I glanced up at the sky above and saw what, at first, I thought was a satellite. It was a white glowing light in the sky moving northward. Almost immediately I realized that there were three lights arranged in a triangle, with one being at the point of the northward direction that the lights were moving. In the next moment I realized that the sky was being blacked out between the triangles. This realization was accompanied by the realization that this was an object and that it was not high in the sky, but right over our heads. My background in architectural study, perspective drawing, and mechanical drawing among other skills at perspective, allowed me to take site off the trees and the buildings next to us to estimate the height of its flight, which was about fifty feet. I instantly alerted my wife and she looked up, but, at first focused on the stars. I grabbed her arm and quickly said, "It's lower. The moving lights, Look!" When she saw what I was pointing to, she gasped. We were stunned and discussed the object as it glided absolutely silently over us as about three to four times the speed of cars that pass down Lake City Way. The speed limit being 40 MPH. As we watched and discussed the object, we realized it had a glowing morphing red light centered between the triangle of lights. By morphing, I mean it shifted its shape continuously, but remained contained in what seemed to be a defined space in the center of the object. An odd point that we later discussed at length was that the light source, that is the points of light, were like like none either of us had ever seen. That is, the light seemed to emanate from the points but had no source. More like a glow of light without the center being bright. Like, but not the same as fluorescent light. Backing up in my narrative of events a bit, as the object flew north, it came to a main intersection at 145th St, we were on 140th st, the object turned left, or west, at the intersection, with such a sharp turn as to seem to defy the physics of inertia. There was zero banking or slippage through the air. It turned as if it were on the ground, with none of the normal compensations necessary to overcome velocity in flight. I don't say that it defied physics, only that it turned in a way that did not make sense to our minds, so quick and shape and sudden, with no air drag or resistance of any kind. Once the object made the turn, it accelerated at what I can only describe as rocket speed. Completely silent, it made the sudden burst of energy and velocity increase toward the direction of Lynnwood, a city northwest of Seattle. We discussed the object at length that night, but were cautious about sharing our experience at first. A month later, we ran into our upstairs neighbor and her husband. She is a mother with five children, a nurse and a very responsible and grounded person. In our hallway chat, she mentioned that she saw the current UFO movie playing at the theater that night. I asked her about the movie, making small talk, and she informed me that she had a new interest in UFOs because in June, her and a friend, another mother, were crossing Lake City Way one night and saw a black triangle fly down Lake City Way, heading northward. When she described the object her and her friend saw, it matched the description of what we had seen. A final point needs to be addressed. That is that as hard as this is to explain, we all felt as if the object was oddly like a projected image, but solid at the same time. This object, in no way, could have been projected, yet it had qualities reminiscent of a projection. Very odd. We would like our name withheld from the public in general, as we have seen how people are viewed and treated when they have revealed similar experiences. I was on a summer camping trip with a group of boys. The camp director had a cabin on Lake Chesuncook in the wilderness around Baxter State Park in Maine. There was a small village nearby, mostly summer cabins, but also one home that served as a bed-and-breakfast and was also the residence of the village's only year-round residents. Anyway, one night some of us decided to canoe across the lake and spend a night on one of its small islands. The island was roughly 50 by 30 feet, with a few pine trees. While settling in for the night, looking at the night sky, suddenly appeared a glowing, bright, light blue fireball. I saw it move from the top of the trees (or so it seemed)a few yards or so laterally, and then it was gone. It scared me (I was 12 years old). I asked aloud, "Did anyone else see something?" "I did," another kid said, nervously. I saw him some years later and asked him if he remembered the fireball. He never forgot it. It was rather large. It looked to be a yard or two wide, about 20 or so feet in the air. Of course, it might have been much higher and therefore been much larger. At any rate, if it had been a meteorite and blazing hot (it looked like blue fire), we should have heard it hit the water. It just appeared and disappear just as fast. This was only about one or two seconds. I've never forgotten it either. Years later, when I was a counselor on the same Maine trip, I told my story to another counselor. He then told me that the owners of the bed-and-breakfast told him a story that one evening, while getting into bed, a bright blue light lit up their room, apparently coming from a source outside. My roommate and his cousin stepped out onto the balcony for a cigarette and saw something in the sky. They called my friend and I out to see what they were seeing. The 4 of us witnessed 6 bright white lights arranged in a hexagon formation. I didn't know what the lights were, but they seemed to bright to be aircraft approach lights. The formation appeared to be far from us and at least 10 times the size of a full moon. We turned on the radio and the local station was reporting getting calls from all up and down Highway 401 from London to Windsor. At this time, I was sent to the 11th floor to get our friend's roommate so he could see it, too. When I returned to my apartment, the lights appeared to have sunk beyond the horizon like the setting sun, leaving only the top 4 lights visible. We watched until all 6 were gone below our line of sight. The radio announced the next day that the lights witnessed over Southern Ontario were American Fighter jets doing practice manuevers. I have witnessed landing lights on aircraft approaching London International Airport from that balcony. I've seen spotlights from military and police helicopters from that balcony. Now, if the radio report is to believed, I've seen lights brighter than landing lights on aircraft moving very slowly away from me. My husband and children were sitting at the back porch table enjoying the evening. A stormfront had brought in cooler evening air. Directly east of where I was sitting on my back porch was my neighbor's house behind our home. I was starring off really at nothing, directly above their roofline. Into my line of vision came a light. An orange light. It looked like fire, however it is rising. Momments later I realize its suspended in air and it is continuing to rise. Now I can't be sure on its size or how far off it was. But I'll make the guess that it is less than a mile away and at its altitude, the size of a vehicle. Now when I say it looked like fire, I'm saying it was fire. I actually saw orange and yellow flames licking at each other. Like if you were to suspend a bonfire in the air. The flames were contained to a rounded shape and didn't 'streak' as it moved upward. It rapidly gained altitude, straight up from its location. At this point I know that I have to get my husband to see this. Luckily he was walking back outside and I point to it and say, "Look! it looks like fire" By this time it was high up there. Higher than a helicopter flies but lower than the commercial airline planes that fly over our house on their descent into the airport. He agrees that it looks like fire, but by this point the distinct look of flames has become more of a shimmer. As we are watching, it makes an obvious acceleration to the east towards Claremore. We watched it until it was completely out of our vision. This entire incident happened in less than 2 minutes. The hay field is developed for camping grounds and about half the field has been cut with a lawnmower. Me and another camper were sitting in lawn chairs near the BBQ, unfortunately drinking some beers. I suddenly heard a private airplane (a small one) flying from east to west, fairly low and relatively loud. When I looked up at the private plane, I noticed a white object flying several feet above the private plane, and the white object was going from west to east. They did not appear to be parallel with each other though. If the white object was making a noise, it was over powered by the lower flying private plane. The white object (may have been a light grey color or something) did not appear to have wings. It litterally appeared to just be a cylinder or cigar although the object was at a significant height and the wings may have been difficult, if not impossible to view from my point. When i seen this object, I stared for about 30 seconds before pointing it out to my drunken camping buddy. He was able to hear and see the private plane, but I just couldn't get him to focus enough to see what I was seeing. I pointed out a small cloud to him which he was able to find, and the object was slightly under the cloud (from our ground view) but I couldn't get him to see it. Eventually, as I continued to point out the object, it continued flying east at a uniform speed until it was too small and far away to see myself. It is in my opinion, this object was simply a commercial airliner which was flying too high to be heard, or to distinguish any descriptive features on it. Regardless, I am not 100 percent, or even 99.99 percent sure that this was an airplane. ...Previous Encounters: Me, my mom (RIP), and my neighbor seen a strange hovering light moving to slow to be conventional aircraft, and was to quiet (cant remember, but I think it was silent) to be a helicopter, and this was at night; around 10-11ish pm. The object hovered in the camping field I mentioned earlier and hovered over and past my house in a southern direction. I called my neighbor as soon as I seen it and he was over in about 2 mins (lives 400 meters away). I met him outside where we watched this thing up close. It had bright white lights (i think) but the one thing I remember for sure is the earthly structure of this craft. It appeared to have a crane like structure to it (only an iron (looked like iron) frame with no exterior). The object may have been approx 20 meters by 20 meters (irregular shape). Hovered 100 feet off ground approx in the camping field then moved over my house southerly and hovered in a field across the road where we got a good look at it. Then it continued moving south but started to curve south west and UP! Wish I had more details. It was between 10:30 and 11pm and the fireworks were dying down. My boyfriend asked me if the pieces of fireworks could reach us and I told him the were too far away (at least 10 city blocks away was the closest any firweorks were being set off). Then a little later he pointed at something that appeared to be on fire moving toward us and asked me if that might reach us. We first began to back across the roof thinking it was a piece of flaming debris, even though there were no fireworks going off anywhere near us. It took me a few seconds to realize it wasn't falling and wasn't fireworks. We stood still and waited for it to pass over head. It looked just like a perfect orb of fire. It had no tail and was not obstructed by any clouds or fireworks. It was silent and glowing orange, did not flash. It moved at a constant speed directly overhead. It was closer than stars, seemed much closer than a plane. It was silent and moved in a straight line. It did not get bigger or smaller and did not appear to be falling. We followed it until it disappeared far into the sky in the distance. I have seen MANY fireworks of all types throughout my life including flares, parachute fireworks and duds and partially-exploded mortars, this WAS NOT fireworks. I have lived under the JFK flight paths my entire life. This WAS NOT a plane of any kind. No running lights and no sound. It took almost a minute to pass over us, so we got a good look at it. It seemed perfectly round and like it was on fire but much closer than a star. It was not something that you sometimes see come through and burn up in the atmosphere like meteorites or meteor showers (I have seen many). It was constant in its speed and altitude and was not something falling to earth. As close as it was within the atmosphere, if it was just a piece of something in the atmosphere I would have expected it to fall towards Earth. Some force kept it eleveated and travelling horizontally. I have never seen anything unexplainable in the sky before this. Neither in the city or Catskill mountains where I frequently visit my family. Seeing a UFO was the furthest thing from our mind on that 4th of July. I felt absolutely crazy trying to explain this to my family until I went online and saw that I was not alone.
