Driving near a large shopping mall, I noticed a unusually large set of lights flying slowly toward my position. It appeared too large for a plane, and moving too slowly for a plane, but not slow enough to be a blimp. It had a triangular or delta wing like shape that was evident as it seemed to change direction over the shopping mall. I lowered my window but herd no noise and was probably no more than 5 or 6 hundred feet away. I pulled out my cell phone and started taking a video of it but buy this point I was directly adjacent to it and the image does not show its size front on but from the side. It does however show it's speed and the blinking lights. Unfortunately, from this angle it looks like a helicopter but again no noise, and the light pattern is all wrong for a helicopter. My wife was driving so she couldn't pay much attention to it but she did see it too. Shortly after first sporting it she pulled into a parking lot to go into a store and I watched it continue to travel away from us until lit moved below the skyline. It defiantly had me excited, and I attempted to report it to the local news, but they didn't seem to take much notice. I am 50 years old and I've never seen anything I couldn't explain or justify in my mind as identifiable before. About 10 years ago a local news story reported something like this seen by police near Scot AFB, which is about 40 miles from where I saw this event.
