I have a small recording studio is a small building on family property. I was recording a client's music. We took a break and went outside around 2:00 am. I'm in the country and surrounded by almond orchards so it's pretty dark without the city lights. I had sprinkled but not rained hard and there were clouds obscuring the sky and keeping the stars hidden. We both noticed a bright light in the sky that was in view above the orchard trees, but seemed to be far from us (in the direction of Fresno). We thought it was the moon, but it was far too bright and we could see two smaller bright lights in the middle of the glow that could be seen even though partially obscured by clouds. The light actually could be seen through the clouds. We watched it for approximately 3 minutes. I remembered I had a camera inside the studio and I quickly went inside to grab and hopefully take a picture. Just as I got it in hand, my client said that the two lights in the middle just disappeared. The place in the sky was still glowing brightly, but dimming quickly. I tried to get my camera to focus on the area, but it was too dark. The light dissipated after about 5 minutes it was completely dark. The entire event was approximately 10 minutes from the time we spotted the unknown light until it was over. I'm clueless to what it may have been, but it was very much out of the ordinary. I've never seen anything similar in the time I have lived here.
