I woke at 2:10 am and decided to smoke a cigarette. I opened my bedroom window (sw) and noticed a strange flashing light at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mtn range. As I sat and watched I saw two other craft ( V ) shaped join the other. Granted this event is approx 12 miles away, but the shapes from my vantage point combined with lights made it very easy to discern. I was extremely excited and watched til dawn. That date was 1/21/12. Others including my neighbor have been watching it also. Nobody I've talked to has ever seen anything like it. I have had, as have many here, numerous sightings. We are just, as the eagle fly's, not more than a stone throw over the mountains from Crestone and the San Luis valley. This is an exxtremely active area, and would behoove Mufon to have someone as either a trained observer, or a field agent be here permanently, or on a regular basis'
