Sighting Details

I was sitting in the recliner in the living room at approximately 1a.m. on a cloudy, starless night. I looked out the window and saw six bright, glowing objects hovering in the sky. They were not moving at this time. They were arranged like stair steps, and you could have drawn a diagonal line through them. I knew they weren't stars because it was a cloudy night and a person can't see the stars in town anyway. They were also slightly bigger and brighter than airplanes. They had a yellow-orange glow. I prayed to God asking what it was and stood up with my iPad to take a picture. They began to move in a scattered motion: some went up, some down, some side to side. They did not move in a linear path. It was more like they just scattered from their diagonal arrangement. One by one they faded into the sky. It was as if the lights on each one just grew dimmer and dimmer until you could no longer see them. I watched as the last one faded and disappeared. The entire display lasted about 30 seconds. The picture(s) I took do not do the scene justice because they were much larger and brighter in person. It could not have been planes because of the eerie way the hovered brightly and then just scattered in every direction until they could no longer be seen.
