At approximately 10:00 pm I observed the almost full moon through a slightly overcast sky. I set my camera and tripod up to begin filming the moon for roughly 30 minutes. I occasionally repositioned the camera due to the movement of the moon. After filming was complete, I loaded it to my computer and began watching the film through my 47 inch hd t.v. I adjusted the brightness and contrast to bring out the most detail I could get. When doing so I noticed bright objects circling around the back side of the moon, at about the 1:00-3:00 positions. When the objects crossed back in front of the moon, shadows were seen for a short time until the objects disappeared completely. I've counted ten objects so far on the film. My first impression of these objects were that they were meteors, but the frequency and behavior of the objects leads me to believe that they are vehicles. I am using a Sony Digicam 1080p hd camera, and I watch the film on a 47 inch 1080p television. I am currently awaiting contact from my astronomy professor to further analyze the film before releasing it for public viewing.
