Standing outside waiting for the dog and always watch the night sky. Have seen many unexplainable objects but this one was stunning. It came from the right side of the house as I was facing west. It was so large I saw it immediately with peripheral vision and turned slightly to my right to see it track rapidly toward the west. Movement was rapid but slow enough for me to get a good look to see defined edges; that it was oval from my vantage point and that it looked like it had clouds inside. I realized it was probably reflecting ground lights instead. There was no question that it was a disk of some sort. The sky was crystal clear with stars. It appeared to have a specific destination, not like some I've seen at a distance in multiples that change directions and altitudes and stay in the same general part of the sky before disappearing. I waited for another ten minutes to see if it would change direction and come back, but it didn't. It disappeared over the woods without ever changing altitude. It had a strange dull gray glow, which color is almost impossible to describe. I wasn't afraid - probably because it kept going - but instead felt a sense of awe over it being so huge and so close. I haven't been able to get it out of my mind so thought I should report it.
