On the evening of July 4, 2014, my family and I were outside watching fireworks. My husband and I happened to look off toward the east of our house and saw this very odd, glowing red/orange orb in the sky that was moving in a straight line amidst the fireworks. This is probably why we noticed it in the first place, as its movements were inconsistent with typical fireworks. It did not seem to be affected by the fireworks, but just kept moving in a straight line west in the sky. At one point it stopped and started moving back toward the east, where at that point it simply dropped like a rock from the sky. This is the second time I have seen something like this in the sky in this area. The last time was one year ago.
