On April 19, around 10 pm, I was standing on my dock in brighton, MI, on Round Lake telling my friend about a recent UFO sighting I had. When I pointed to where I saw it, we saw a shooting star fly by. It was going past the big dipper, heading east. It's speed was that of a shooting star as well as it's size. It continued on this path for at least 7 seconds until it stopped far in the horizon. We both expected it to burn out but when it didn't, we both went into shock and never let our eyes off. The color was white, like a star. It was about 90 degrees above us at first sighting, flew for about 7 seconds (maybe more) and came to a stop about 45 degrees in the horizon east of us. It stayed there for at least two hours. it would sporadically flash red or white light. but there was some cloud cover at that angle so this might not be accurate. We both kept an eye on it for about a half hour and then went on to other things but checking up on it about every 10 minutes. sometimes it looked like it may have been moving, ascending very slowly. about two hours after the object had come to a stop, we looked for it again, but it was gone.
