I was driving home on 695 when I noticed something flying to my left at tree top level. It had matched my speed, about 65 mph, heading north, and abruptly made a 180. I knew then it wasn't an ordinary aircraft. I made a u-turn at the Liberty Rd. exit and went chasing after it. We almost made it to Rt 40 when it started heading north again, so we made another u-turn at Rt 40 and again at Liberty Rd again because it started heading south again. This time it went to Howard Johnson's parking lot on Rt 40 and hovered there till I arrived and got out of my car. I started to walk toward it but, the girls screamed and they said no, don't go there. So I waved to it. The cars and people in the area seemed to be oblivious to what I was looking at. Then it flew out over the intersection, rocked back and forth like an airplane when it's waving to you, and headed west. Then it was gone within seconds. I had four people with me. they all saw it, but years later they wouldn't talk with me abou it or flat out denied it happened. I really thought it was cool. I was only 19 at the time, but I didn't drink or do drugs. It was a real Flying Saucer with a dome on top and another on the bottom with what appeared to be two large lights inside it. There were formation lights on the outer edge of the center of the craft. They lit up sequentially all the way around it from left to right. It was gray in color hovering right next to the building no more than 30 or 40 ft off the ground. I was actually standing about 100 ft away from it. There was no way of mistaking what I was looking at.
