Sighting Details

Just returned from shopping, and noticed an unusual orange light through the car window. Got out of the car and stood watching it until it disappeared. It was a very clear night with a very bright large moon. There were many planes in the sky for comparison, all these were flashing the compulsory lights but this orange light which looked larger than the stars in the sky did not. It travelled E/NE to S on a very steady path, and travelling faster than all the other planes. I could hear no sound, but it seemed to be a fair distance away anyway. I thought maybe it could have been a satellite but as soon as it disappeared into the distance, I spotted another, exactly the same, appearing at the same point and following the same path. After this one had gone, I stood there a bit longer to see if there were any more but that seemed to be it, and it was too cold to stand around for long. My husband was also a witness and he couldn't make out what they could be (he always says there is an explanation for these sightings!) I had an encounter when I was about 15 with a large black triangle and have always sky watched since then, otherwise I may not have noticed. I was not drawn to look at this light, nor did I have any feelings about it as I did with my triangle experience. |
