I lived out in the woods above Foresthill, CA. I had to meet a trucker in Auburn and left my house around 1:00 am. I stopped about halfway to the paved road and when I got out a bright white light came from my left. It turned the forest into day. It was a bright white light. To me it seemed like it lasted forever, but it was only two minutes, max.
I was afraid, not knowing what this was, but I pulled my gun and then started laughing. Anything that bright, moving through the air as slow as it was, would tell you you would not hurt it. I just laughed at it. Had whatever was driving that ship wanted me I knew they could take me whenever they wanted.
It was a brilliant white light in the sky. Brighter than daylight, but it did not hurt your eyes.
It kept going. I told my friends and they laughed, but we were eating breakfast, reading the newspaper, and it had been seen by people across the canyon, in Placerville.
Whatever it was it definetly was not a baloon or anything like that. It passed overhead and usually you would be frightened, but it only frightened me for an instant. I saw its shape, etc, but the light was welcoming rather than frightening.
