Sighting Details

I was leaving my company's construction trailer heading to the jobsite. I noticed a white lighte moving toward me from the south. It sort of wobbled in its flight path so I stopped to watch it. The object was moving slowly and I wasn't getting paid to watch a light in the sky so I started to walk again to the job site. As I made it to the loading dock area of the building I was working in, the orb/light turned and was now flying in a more westerly direction and parralleling me as I walked. As I was watching the object move, I kept expecting to see the customary flashing blue and red strob lights that all aircraft have but none flashed. ALL aircraft lights that I have ever observed at night always changed in brightness or became non visible when the aircraft turned. The object I witnessed remained a solide white light, even as it turned. It now was flying parallel to me as I walked and I even mentioned to a coworker how strange it was to not see any strobing lights on this craft. As I entered the gate to the construction area and neared where I was to enter the building the light started to ascend at about a 12 degree angle and flew off at an incredible rate of speed. The light became just a very small pin point of light in a matter of about three to five seconds and then was gone. I was astonished by the smoothness of acceleration. It went from moving relatively slowly to GONE in just a matter of seconds and it made NO NOISE at any point in the flight. I told pretty much anybody that would listen about what I saw but most were uninterested.
