Me and my family father mother and grandmother were traveling through Glenville in Greenwich, CT at 6:48 PM when I observed over the horizon 6 red twinkling lights in the sky that were slowly ascending at a moderate low altitude. I notified my father driving the jeep and we found a place to pull over and check out the situation a seventh light came over the tree line as we stopped. The lights were traveling northwest as observed from North Hawthorne st as it passed over Rye, NY and Glenville into PortChester where WestChester County Airport is. During the five minutes we observed two helicopters pass under the lights from our perspective without any suspicious behavior. Prior to seeing the lights we saw a few commercial airplanes coming or going to the airport also without any behavior to note. The Lights made no noise they simply floated and twinkled. We left after five minutes because 5 or 6 had either faded away or were hidden by a tree line but likely faded away. I believe these were spherical luminosities however perhaps for Christmas someone released floating lanterns ceremonially but they were very noticeable.
