Unnatural twin "star" formation observered in the W sky. Both objects at same high magnitude brighter than any other in a 10 and 4 o'clock close group formation. Lower "star" brightened and then winked out, followed by other "star" that winked out.

Object Flight Path
At about 8:30 PM Eastern I went outside and sat on the porch. I looked to my left which is to the western sky. I saw a tightly grouped formation of "stars", one at 10 o'clock, the other 4 o'clock at about 25 degrees or so elevation. The sky was clear, with no restriction. They were about two to three finger widths apart at arms length, and very bright. Much brighter than other stars one would see in the sky. Based on my experience and knowledge this was very odd. The lower "star" after about six seconds intensified in brightness, then dimmed out, followed by the higher elevation "star" dimming out. This was something that shook my core. I had a simliar experience almost one year previously to that date. It was in the second week of October 2012. On this event I was outside on the porch at 5:45 AM before going to work. Again, like I usually do, I looked to the western sky. I saw the identical odd "star" pattern. This event lasted the same amount of time, about 8 seconds. Both stars winked out, or dimmed, at the same rate until they dissapeared. Like a dimmer switch. The sky was clear.
