Sighting Details

I was driving in my car at 2225 on 2-16-14 on my way to work. I was coming down a hill and off in the distance (SSW, by the compass, not relative to my car's position) I saw a very large light through the trees. It may have been one large oval light or an oval shape with lights on it. I did see divisions of light and dark, but that also may have been the effect of a solid light seen through trees. At first, I thought it was a super moon because that was the only logical explanation for a light that size in that direction. Then I glanced to my left to see the moon and knew that this light was clearly something else. As I stated earlier, I was driving down a hill; when I reached the bottom, I could no longer see the light. I turned onto a different road, driving away from the light but I kept watch in my rear view mirror and side mirrors to see if I could spot the source of the light again, but I couldn't. I began to run through the various things it could have been. It was the wrong position for the moon. It was too low and well lit to be a known aircraft. It couldn't be a cluster of stars for various reasons. There are no houses in the area that I would be able to see from there. I drive this route to work at about this same time 4 days a week, so I'm familiar with what would be regular activity. Honestly, I don't know what I saw. It appeared to be a lit oval shape behind trees that either hovered, descended, or disappeared but because my car was descending a hill, I lost sight of it. I do not feel confident enough in what I saw to definitively call it a sighting. I am submitting this report more so to validate other reports of the same incident should they be made.
