It was Labor Day, so needed to hang my flag. I went out with my flag to put it up on my porch pillar bracket. Finishing this, something caught the corner of my vision and I looked up. There it was, looking like a far away plane, but it did not seem that far away. It was maybe high enough to be a jet, but had no contrail. There seemed to be kind of darkish haze about it. It was plain white and I could not discern wings or other control surfaces, but at that distance and facing aspect such would be difficult to see. It was moving with some speed bearing about 025 degrees E of North, straight and steady. Something just seemed not right, so I went for my camera which has 26x mag and takes good pictures. In the ten seconds it took me to get the cam, the thing was gone. I estimate the place of disappearance as over March ARB in Riverside, California, about 20 miles away. Suspect the craft was not too high over that base at the time. I know which direction North is from my house from observing the North Star on clear nites, and as an engineer am a fair visualizer of three dimensional spatial and angular relationships. This was in broad open daylight before 11Am in the morning. I can not be the only one to have seen this. Many at March would have had to have seen it. One of the questions demanded an answer: did the object do any of..long list of actions; but the object did not do anything by move thru the air. I selected 'reflected light' just to satisfy the stupid computer answer filter. it sis not reflect anything. It was white and that is that.
