While standing on the lanai looking eastward out to sea, he sighted an object, resembling a cruise ship, firstly with one row of lights and one solid, one changing light quite above. While focusing on anomaly the row of lights were oscillating, another row of lights appeared under the existing row for approx 25 or 30 seconds, then went out. The object was observed for about 45-55 sec. The observer was alerted when the lights wavered. An additional row illuminated and then shut off, the lights shimmered and wavered, and then the object slid rapidly out of view behind the sugarcane. The observer became excited, and began searching for a video camera, hesitated to awaken his wife, did not rouse her but found the camera. He returned to the lanai and stood on the railing to attempt to see the object again.
