At roughly 7:45 pm Central time, I was walking my dog behind the Publix at Highway 31 and Valleydale Road. We were on the zigzagging road that leads up to Combat Fitness and several car shops. In the Western sky I viewed 5-7 lights moving linearly in the same direction at the same pace. At first I thought they were the blinking red lights on radio towers with a bright star in the middle, but their movement made that impossible. All of the lights were the same distance apart. If they were planes at that distance, I feel like noise would have been heard, however, there was no noise heard. I couldn't tell the exact distance but they seemed to be no higher than a plane's flight altitude but perhaps closer to a helicopter's flight altitude. In the center of the line was a bright white light, steady but somewhat pulsing, and occasionally flashing red. On either side of that light were red lights, all blinking sequentially. I observed their flight (Southwest direction) for a couple of minutes before they went behind a low tree line. They appeared on the other side of the trees, however, the bright white light was gone and only the red lights remained. They had broken their linear formation and now traveled in a cluster that resembled a Z shape. They still blinked sequentially as they moved. This event did not seem to have any effect on time or surrounding objects. I did not feel personally effected in any way, and my dog seemed normal though hyper. I do not have any suggestions as to what this event may have been.
