Sighting Details

I was on my way to school, walking, west bound on Bingham toward Silver St. It was a bright, party cloudy, sunny morning. As I crossed Silver St turning south to continue on to school, I noticed this round silver disk moving slowly from south to north just above the power lines. It made no sound, and traveled in a perfectly straight line. I looked around for other witnesses but saw none. I watched the object until it was out of sight which took about one to two minutes. I know this was a long time ago, but, it has been on my mind ever since. I would have be around eight or nine years of age. A little too young to believe, however, I did see this object and I have never forgotten it. Last week, I was watching television about sightings, and realized I have witnessed something. None of the shows I saw came close to my sighting, and mine was not as spectacular as others, but I did see it. At that time, I was not aware of UFO's or their meaning. We did not have a television and there was not much to hear via radio. Why have I waited so long? I didn't think anyone would believe me. I have gone to the MUFON site before, but never followed through. I thought it was about time. The date is approximate. It could be 1951 or 1952, I don't remember exactly. I know what I saw, and I was wondering if around that same time if anyone else in the same general vicinity or time frame saw anything. Houston is a big place as well as Harris county, so the intersection of Silver and Bingham is located at lat. 29.771399, long. -95.377025. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
