In 2010 I lived south of Kansas City in the country. I worked in KC and drove a road known as Holmes Rd to get into the city. One morning, on my way to work, I noticed off to my left (west) an oval shaped silver object in the sky, roughly a mile or more away. I have driven this stretch of road my whole life and had never witnesses something in the sky over that area. I was able to observe the object for approximately a minute. I was able to see it long enough to figure out what it wasn't. It wasn't a plane because it was stationary and it wasn't a helicopter because I didn't see any blades and it wasn't shaped like a copter. It wasn't something on my windshield or a reflection. I was/am convinced it was a real object in the sky. As I was observing the object, I passed by a row of tall trees and when I was clear of them (maybe five seconds later) the object was gone. I'm not claiming that it was an alien craft but I couldn't relate it to anything I'd seen before. I do find it odd as to where it was and the time if day. It would have been over or near a lot of residential housing. Also the time of day (approx 7:00 am) would lead me to believe that other people could have seen it but I've been through you data base and did not see any other reports. However, there may some activity around the area because I've heard two other stories about sightings.
