I was in my back yard in my hot tub star gazing. I watched planes fly over head both flights coming in to land at Mccarren & planes flying really high leaving vapor trails. This was at night. I noticed what looked like a star coming towards me. I watched it for about 10 seconds. It suddenly flew upwards in what looked like a 90 deg turn. Within seconds of doing that it faded out from what was star light bright to orange then black. It literally went out! I thought to myself "no way what the heck was that?" The light had no other blinking navigation lights like the planes that were flying around. I have since seen similar lights silently moving around up in the sky just like this one. I have tried to look at them with binoculars but see no detail. Could they be satellites? I still can't explain how or why the light I saw would go up the way it did & flame out within seconds.
