Sighting Details

I went outside to smoke I was out there for a few minutes looking towards the sky we have a great view of the sky out here and I look at the stars on a regular basis if we don't have cloud cover. After a few minutes A very bright bright ball of light caught my eye similar to a star but much closer and much brighter the light seemed to grow stronger until suddenly just disappeared. I wasn't sure what it was I even thought well if its a plane I should see the strobe lights I kept waiting to see some more indication that maybe it was some sort of aircraft which we don't have much of over here. But as I was keeping my eye out for strobes it showed back up in the same exact spot and did the exact same thing. The interval from when I first seen it to the second time was maybe a minute to a minute and a half. The second time it did the exact same thing it radiated a very bright white phosphorus type light and just vanished. I waited outside for quite awhile after and never seen it again. It was similar to possibly a flare or a firework as far as the type of light it was emitting, however it didn't move when it was lit up and it showed up in the exact same area I seen it the first time it appeared. I don't know I've never believed in UFO'S but I really don't have any other explanation for what I saw.
