January 1st, 2014 shortly after the New Year countdown, time was around 12:10am - 12:14 am my girlfriend and I decided to have a cigarette outside in the balcony. Upon looking up at the sky in the Northeast direction towards San Gabriel Mountains, I noticed 2 bright orange/red objects hovering slow and low altitude. These object's we're flying and hovering side by side for about 8 minutes, immediately I called my family to come outside and witness themselves what I was seeing. At the same time these objects were flying, loud sirens from police or ambulance were heard near by. Objects seemed to be heading West from Northeast direction then changed direction North towards the San Gabriel Mountains and slowly disappeared. Minutes after a third object appeared same as mentioned above but, third object was flying/hoovering very slow and looked similar like a Chinese lantern but very brighter. The whole encounter lasted about 15 - 20 minutes. Video footage was taken by family member. My actions & feelings were positive and excited to have spotted out these type of anomalies.
