Description of whole event
Taking dog outside to pee. Look up towards west/north west. Notice that there is a satalite crossing through the sky. I decide to keep watching it.
It has the exact same appearance and traits as a common satalite, or at least until it started to slow down.
Long slow arc across visible sky, slowing as it approched a point in the west/ southwest. It reached this point an stopped. Took about 45 seconds to reach this point from when i first saw it.
After stopping it began a slow accellerating path at a 90 angle "downwards". It continued this path for 1 thumb width, then made an instant 90 change in direction to the "right". It did a slow accel about 1 more thumb width. It came to a halt. It hovered there for maybe 10 seconds. After this is began another 90 turn "downwards" and performed a snake pattern over 2 thumb widths - demonstrating variance in speed, and amplitude of the wave pattern.
After this snake pattern it stopped, hovered, then faded away over 15 seconds.
I was sober, and not even looking for it. I have my roommate as a witness to the last 15 seconds.
