Sighting Details

I was on my balcony trying to see the meteor shower, the weather station said that night should be a good one for viewing. I didn't stay out long but sat on a chair on my balcony from about 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm. I didn't see any meteors but saw this fluttering brown colored object and thought at first how strange it looked and said out loud to myself, wow, that's strange. Then I thought it must be a balloon but it did not act like any that I ever saw before. It was coming from the East and I kept watching it until it flew out of sight, over our condominium toward the West. It was going at a steady fast speed, I would guess around the same height that airplanes would fly, only faster than a plane. The shape seemed to change slightly and at times seemed to be fluttering like a large bird and then it seemed to have this floppy sting ray shape. I wish that I could have seen it for a longer time. Also, the color was strange to me, even though it was a copper brown color, I could still make it out against the dark starry sky. It almost seemed to have a slight glow within it. It made me feel very excited as I was watching it and the next day I immediately told my daughter about it.
