We were driving south on US 1 in New Jersey around 10 PM and to our left hovering above a parking lot between some buildings was a saucer shaped object about 30/40 feet in diameter with pulsating multicolor lights, no sound was emitted, we glanced at it but kept driving for about 15 minutes when we both realized that was strange, we turned around to go back and see it again but it was gone, we really think we got hypnotized temporarily , by it the first time, as if it suggested to us that we really didn't see it the first time which explains why we kept driving .. This happened in 1972 but to this day it still fascinates us. It had such beautiful lights on it, like nothing else at the time.
