Stationary,Straight-line path,Path with directional change
I was visiting the Orlando area with family in the summer of 1992. I was a teenager. We were staying in a hotel. It was after midnight. Everyone was asleep inside, so I decided to sit out on the porch and enjoy the night sky. I was only outside for 10 or 15 minutes before I noticed what appeared to be a shooting star flying across the night sky...among the stars. Nothing new really, until it came to an abrupt stop and began moving in some sort of pattern. It abruptly changed directions a few times before it shot back through the night sky. The object looked like a star. It was among the stars, or at least appeared to be. Except, this particular starlike object was maneuvering in ways that seemed to defy logic. It happened very quickly and very "matter of fact". I was not awe struck or in wonderment, it just happened quickly, about 10-15 seconds and then it was gone. I remember, we had a video camera inside the hotel room, just feet away from where I was sitting. But, I decided to stay and watch, rather than running to get a camera and possibly missing the object. I've always felt the best way to describe seeing this was how it happened so "matter of factly".
