Over One Mile
Object Flight Path
I was walking from the parking lot to my home, which is on the Delaware River. I was looking up, watching some sea gulls flying over head, when I noticed an object which looked like a star, it was right over head, moving E-NE (approx 030 compass heading). It covered, maybe a 20 degree arc in 5 seconds and appeared to be in the high flight levels 30-40 thousand feet, or more. I am not certain if it "disappeared" or went behind a cloud when I momentarily looked away. I would say it looked like a satellite, except I've only seen satellites at night out in the country - I doubt they are visible in daylight.
The weather was sunny with a few scattered cumulus clouds at maybe several thousand feet.
I know this is a boring observation, but the fact that it covered such an apparent amount of distance in such a short time, and that it was moving in a perfectly straight line, prompted me to file this report.
