Two of us decided to talk on the beach on a blanket. I took a spring vacation trip to the Holiday Inn on Pensacola Beach on Santa Rosa Island; I went with a sorority....I was one of the elected male "sponsors", a sort of big brother while a senior in high school. So it was very structured and organized and chaperoned. We were chatting and I had been in the habit of looking for and spotting satellites. I saw a light travelling straight for the beach (north) I would say it was high, it was about a little bit smaller than Venus, traveling in a straight line at a constant velocity faster than any plane or jet
i had ever seen. Then when it was overhead, it turned 90West for a short distance with no change in velocity and then again, with no change in velocity, made another 90turn south, where it had come from. At all times it travelled in straight lines at the same constant, faster than a private plane or known jet; it was a brilliant white light in the sky above Pensacola Beach in the spring of 1970.
