Sighting Details

I was on vacation with my parents and my college roommate. My parents had rented a houseboat on Lake Shasta. That night, my roommate and I decided to sleep on the roof of the houseboat in our sleeping bags. The sky was clear and there were many falling stars. Suddenly, my friend asked "wow, did you see that?!" I asked "you mean that falling star that stopped, zig zagged, and then took off in another direction?" He said "yes". We both saw the same thing. The object appeared just as a bright light, like a falling star. But nothing from this earth moves like this. The zig zag pattern and the speed at which it took off in a different direction was more abrupt and faster than anything humans are capable of making.
