I was reading a book in bed when I looked out the window (south east) and saw a single solid blue white light near the highest point on the ridge line. The mountain is a solid black and the horizon is illuminated just slightly by the city lights behind it. It seemed to go out and come back on, over and over again. Thinking it was hikers or kids I got a flashlight and pulsed towards the light. It dipped down the other side of the ridge line and then would come back up, shining again. I continued pulsing at the light for about 20 minutes. After about 10 minutes without any light visible, I gave up and went back to bed. After another 5 ,minutes, I looked out again and noticed 5 or 6 lights, all on and moving around the ridge line. They were moving too fast and covering too much distance while still shining bright, to be people on foot or on bikes. I have hiked that mountain before and I know that the terrain would be impossible to traverse at such speed, at night, in the dark. They didn't cast a light like a flashlight would, they just seemed to be solid and moving. I tried taking video with my phone, but when I reviewed it, the footage wasn't there. I woke up my brother in law and he witnessed multiple lights, and was with me when they vanished. They seemed to make their way down the side of the mountain and then were just gone.
