Object Flight Path
I was what I call 'sky-fishing' (random exposures of the night sky in search of unusual activity) with a digital camera set on night-mode and secured on a tripod when I happened to take three frames of a most unusual object at around midnight on the 7th May 2008. Completely invisible to the naked eye and yet the camera picked it up easily. Appears in the first frame as a multi-colored 's' shape on it's side. Second frame appears as more serpent-like. Third frame it appears to have 'exploded' into a green nebulae-like object. It disappeared after the three frames. Left me feeling both excited and curious as to what it was/is. Wondered if it was caused by some tiny movement of the camera on the tripod, though it was not a particularly windy night, and surely a light source would be in all frames if it were a star or planet. Quite intriguing.
