Sighting Details

While out on my back porch which faces a large wooded area, about 11am, clear, warm day, few clouds, I happened to look up to the North and at about 5 to 7K feet, I'd estimate, I see a whitish cylinder with two dark bands, one at either end, floating in the sky motionless. I thought, 'what the heck is that?' As I focused my eyes on it (didn't get my binoculars as I was afraid it would not be there when I came back out) I got the feeling that it knew I was watching it and that it was aware of me...that I had somehow 'discovered' it...just a feeling I had. The cylinder then proceeded to smoothly pivot 45 degrees, and began to move away slowly while emitting a cloud of white smoke. The craft just disappeared at that point with nothing but blue sky where it had been. I saw no lights on the object. I would guess the length of the cylinder to be over 100 ft long..quite big. As I said, I had the distinct feeling that it was aware of me watching it. I could see no windows on it, just the two dark bands. There were no other planes in the air space at that time. No noise at all associated with it either. It seemed to 'cloak' itself in the white smoke which entirely enveloped the craft as it moved away toward the NW..it a second it was gone. It did not streak away but rather just dissolved in this misty white smoke. The entire sighting was no more than 3 to 4 minutes.
