Sighting Details

My husband stepped outside just after dark. It was approximately 6pm, maybe. I was doing the dishes. He came back in almost immediately, asking me to come outside very urgently. So I went. There was one very bright light in the sky. It looked like a giant really close star. Bigger than any other star ive ever seen. It didn't blink or flash or move. He said before I came out, there were 2. One of them disappeared. The one that remained just stayed in one spot. It never blinked, only seemed to get a little brighter and soon it disappeared, too. I'd say it lasted under 10 minutes. We are in North carolina, near the triangle area. We're out in the country and you can see a lot of sky out here. The weirdest part was, just before dark, I was out at our clothesline taking some clothes down. I was thinking how you can see so much of the sky and stars and airplanes out here. We recently moved here. THen I thought how we might be able to see a UFO one day with all this open land and sky. I am interested in this type of thing. My husband, however, is a skeptic of almost everything. haha. So for him to be telling ME to come and look was weird. and even weirder that he was calling me out to view something strange only an hour after I had the thought... I felt sort of like ...in disbelief while I saw the object. Like there had to be some sort of explanation we weren't thinking of. But it definitely wasn't an airplane. no idea what it could have been. Then I felt excitement and kind of just in awe of the neat experience. My husband saw the two lights, I only saw the one. And b/c he called me out urgently, our kids got excited and followed. They, too, saw the bright light. |
