We were parked at the Mormon church on Bennett Rd. facing east, around 9:15 p.m.
It was the 4th of July and we were watching fireworks. I had felt a prompting to go out and follow the sound of fireworks going off. My mother was feeling down so I prompted her to go for a drive with me.
We went to the church and could see fireworks on the other side of the interstate a few miles off. We parked to watch. We weren't there even five minutes when I noticed an orange ball of lights slowly floating up from the horizon, followed by another. They all floated in the same flight pattern one after another. There were about 5 and they seemed to form the shape of a craft for a brief moment and then floated in line again.
I thought maybe they were helicopters but we could hear no sound, and there aren't seven helicopters that I know of in the whole city. They traveled through the same air space as the exploding fireworks without moving, or being phased. THere was nothing attached to indicate they were lanterns.
After the orange lights disappeared, about 8-10 minutes later, we saw a white orb (like frosted glass) fly over head also traveling north, same as the orange balls.
