This report is being filed by the Kansas State Director on behalf of the husband and wife witnesses. Wife: Taking kids to Christmas party. Two of her own kids and one other, a friend of theirs. Was at corner of SE Westedge & SE Lakeshore Blvd in Topeka. Saw what she thought was low-flying plane. Realized it wasnt a plane. Straight line of solid white and red lights that blinked. No sound. Travelled in a line from S to NW. Seemed very large. Followed for 4 minutes to SE 29th & SE Westedge, then it veered to the Northwest toward a populated area. Then she lost sight of the object. Was talking to husband on her cell phone to inform him of the sighting. Told him to go outside and look. Then about 8:45 PM she was headed West on SE 29th Street saw a bright white ball of light where the object had been. Lost sight of light due to trees. Apparent size of light was golf ball to baseball size at arms length. Both parties observed extensive helicopter traffic in the area on the 19th & 20th during evening hours. One helicopter was shining its light horizontally into the sky. Husband: Went outside with his son and took video at home. Observed the lights for about five minutes. Lights moved from NNE to the SW. Moved along semi-circle line in a steady motion. Disappeared over the horizon. The lights seemed to be on an object that was flying horizontally.
