On the night/early morning of Dec.28,2000...I was working a night shift with another employee,I was feeding an incinerator pit with the green waste from a 900 acre golf course we were in the process of building. As the lead equipment operator on night shift....I was responsible for production and feeding the incinerator pit. I first saw this enormous disk shaped object I visually estimated by using the I-10 interstate in the foreground,at a mile and a half wide.I watched this mouth wide open...torn between going and getting my fellow employee,sal...and not wanting to miss a moment...After about 15 minutes,it moved and ascended up into the clouds...The lights on the outer edges were red, violet, pink, purple and some light source I couldn't tell where was coming from....about 10 minutes later..it came back and was hovering directly over the silver bell gold mine, south east of Marana Arizona. ..I jumped down off of the trackhoe I was operating and went to sal,who was in his jeep CCherokee this guy sal, who was an ex- green beret from Vietnam, freaked out....because I got up on the trackhoe and turned on all of the lights and started honking and waving my arms....he was screaming and pleading hysterically for me to stop...we watched it a good hour hovering above the gold mine....sal was in his jeep, never did come outside of it again at night and quit a short while later...you could see its illuminations lighting up the cloud base that was above it...I know what I had a straight line of site from the 3 Elevated position I had...I wish I would have had a cell phone or a camera with a telephoto lens.
