About 5:30 PM on November 25, 2012 I was facing the east and saw a large whitish/yellowish/glowing object across the field from my home. It appeared to be low in the sky. It moved to the south, then to the north, slightly moving up and down. It appeared to be "searching" for a location. The object appeared to be about the size of an aspirin that is held at arm's length. When the object moved to the north above the woods, it seemed part of the woods were "lit up" because suddenly they got dark, as if a light were turned off. I do not know if this was caused by the object in the sky or not. The object's movements lasted about 20-30 minutes before it became stationary in the sky above the woods. Looking through a telescope I could tell that it had a blue "top" and in the middle of it there appeared to be orange/red wings or flames. It also looked like there were appendages, like very long poles with a few lights going down the poles. These were on each side of the object, like long arms. I then stopped viewing it for an hour or so, and when I returned outside it had moved in the night sky, as if it stays in the same orbit or rotation as the stars and moon. Last night, November 28, 2012, this same object "rose" up beside the moon. It seemed to stay in the same "path" as the moon all evening, except when it rose it was on the moons north side, and later in the evening it was on the moons east side. Early this morning, November 29, 2012, the object was stationary in the low southeast sky. The moon was in another part of the sky. Tonight, November 29, 2012, this object rose above the woods BEFORE the moon did, but has stayed in a stationary position, except for "moving along as the stars do over the course of the evening." I do not understand what this object is, and why it moves about like it does. How can it move on it's own, but then appear to move in a normal path like the moon and stars?
