While outdoors sitting in a hot tub (no alcohol, no drugs) at about 9pm CST on Tuesday August 27, 2014, observed a bright white search light scan the sky twice above Waukegan Memorial airport in Lake County, IL. About 2-3 minutes later, observed an orange-yellow oval craft travel from W to E at a high rate of speed (1200-1800 mph) for 5-10 seconds, then blink out (off). Oval shaped craft was at an altitude of about 30K feet and vibrated or fluctuated slightly and was not traveling in a straight line. The craft traveled in a slight downward arc, then blinked off. This was not a meteor, nor other type of space debris. (Years earlier, observed space debris fall to earth with a bluish burning light). This oval craft was observed by my wife, simultaneously. No sound, nor rocket engine noise. It appeared to travel along the nearby IL-WI border from West to East out over Lake Michigan. It did not land or crash or travel downward, just a slight downward arc, then vanished. Craft speed was about 4-5 times faster than a commercial airliner seen regularly between Butch O'Hare Airport (ORD) and General Mitchell Field in Milwaukee. The oval craft was orange-yellow and changed direction (fluctuated) as it streaked through the night sky. There were no clouds or vapor in the atmosphere. Stars and planets shined brightly, sunset at about 7pm CST. I would to think the oval craft was one of ours (military, CIA, experimental, etc.), but have serious doubts. No film, no video.
