Object Flight Path
At approximately 0620 took dog out of house and stood on deck observing the sky. I saw a few stars, and then one in particular caught my eye. At first I thought it might be a planet, but then it moved across the sky traveling from southwest to northeast on a heading of approximately 065 degrees magnetic at great speed. It was higher than the intercontinental commercial jetliners that traverse the east-west corridor; so better than five or six miles altitude. I called my oldest son to come witness it, and we followed it as it went east until hidden by the tree tops. There was no ground wind, the sky was clear, temperature was 28F/16C, it was silent, had no navigation lights, and left no contrail. Observation last from one minute to a minute and a half.
