Sighting Details

At the time I was driving, so I might have missed something, but here it goes: I was driving home from work around 7h10-7h15, and I glanced over across the road just because (I honestly don't know why I looked over). I first noticed the object hovering in an area that doesn't have any power lines, cell towers, etc. to set up a formation of lights. I thought it might have been a helicopter at first, as there were two red lights towards the top (like where the tail of a helicopter would come up) and three white lights. As I watched, swapping back and forth from the road to the side, the object started meandering away so that it was moving perpendicular to the road I was driving on (I was driving into town, so the object was moving to the left away from me). The object revealed it had four white lights in a diamond shape (closer to a kite's shape than an equal diamond) with the two side lights blinking (just white) regularly. There were also two red lights in the centre of the object (I don't know if these were the same ones that I saw initially, but it seemed to me that it was a different set). I kept watching as it got farther away, and, when I looked away for a moment and looked back, it was gone - possibly due to trees obscuring the view or something else; I expect the trees got in the way, though; the movements were not at all hasty. During the viewing, I was excited and curious. I wanted to follow it, but there was no direct road to it, and, by the time I decided that it was a good idea to look into it, I'd lost sight of it and would have still had to wait to find a road for a little while to turn around and get over to the other side. I wish I could be more specific, but it was hard to make any solid notes while driving.
