Thursday evening 5/16/13 around 9:30 pm, my husband and I were drivingfrom Prescott, Arizona. We were traveling west on 89 A out of Prescott, AZ past Congress Junction. We continued onto Highway 60, very rural area, and desert. In the sky to the north at very low altitudes, we saw two small orange blasts of light side by side. The light was so bright and orange in the dark night sky it attracted our attention. The lights first started very small like the size of a baseball. Then they got very large like the size of a round object 12 inches in diameter. They began to move rapidly side by side and then one went down lower in front of the other and then maneuvered within seconds straight up. They got a bit smaller again about the size of one's hand and seemed as if they were playing. Then the lights disappeared just as if someone switched them off. They did not appear to travel away like an airplane traveling from one point to the next. However, in another 5 to 8 minutes the lights reappeared in the same area and did the same thing. The bright orange yellow lights appeared about four different times. The lights appeared somewhat like the sodium lights in the city, but brighter yellow/orange. At first I thought a plane had blown up, it was so bright and so large. I felt very amazed at the sighting. My husband said no plane could maneuver like this, straight up and down and then sideways as rapidly as these two bright yellow orange lights did and not at this low altitude. We continued traveling and did not see them appear again.
