Object Flight Path
On Friday, July 4, 2014 it was a clear night. The time was about 22:30. My Wife and I observed four glowing orange orbs slowly moving across the sky from north to south. Each one appeared one at a time. They moved rather casually, perhaps a few hundred feet in the air. The first one as it was nearly over head seemed to have a glowing mushroom/ parachute / balloon look to it similar to what you would see in a balloon, but these made no sound. There was no normal on then off again firing of the flame as you would expect a balloonist to do as when they try to regain altitude. The third one also had the same appearance. The second and forth objects did not seem to have the balloon look to them. They were just orange balls glowing in the sky. As each object traveled to the south it disappeared over the tree line. There were possibly 2 or 3 minutes between each passing, so we only saw one at a time. Each one seemed to come from the same general area and they took very similar straight line flight path as if the others were following the first one. None of them seemed to change altitude, and were all at about the same altitude. These were not any form of fireworks that I have ever experienced, and I do not believe that these were any kind of fireworks. I know the date of occurrence make this sound questionable, but this is what we observed. This occurred over the south west edge of Xenia, Ohio over Gerdes Field.
