Summary
Bright Reddish/Orange circular soundless object approached from the Northeast sky in straight path veered left and was heading toward me then stopped and hovered

Sighting Details
I was grilling out----and saw an object approach flying steadily but slow above the tree tops about 1 to 2 thousand feet----was approaching from the north east sky over the lake heading on a straight course toward the east. The object appeared as a bright Orange/Reddish ORB---appeared round in shape----I started walking toward the object and hid behind trees as I started approaching----Then the object began to slow down almost as if it sensed I had spotted it-------The closer I got the slower it got-----I probably got within a 45 degree angle form the glowing object------then it STOPPED-(assumed it was hovering)-----was absolutely motionless------after approximately 5 seconds after it stopped------the light suddenly went out------and then I could not see it or hear anything-------There was never a sound to be heard from this object the whole time----It was as if the object discovered it had been witnessed and then suddenly VANISHED--------the whole event took app 2 minutes to possibly 3 minutes
